Windows NT Event Viewer

Clearing the Event Viewer

The Event Viewer retains messages from previous boots. Although each event is listed by day and time in the order in which they occur, you may want to clear the event log. Then, reboot the system, and view the current errors. This will remove all log except for those relevant to the problem being experienced. The option for clearing the event log is located under the Log menu option.
