DXINFO also allows a user to view the hardware configuration of the system - display driver, display setting, monitor type, sound card and driver, and input device.
Double clicking Dxinfo.exe (c:\Program Files\DirectX\Setup) will bring up the following dialog box.
DXINFO allows a user to view the OS the system is running; view the versions of all the DirectX file components - *.VXD, *.DLL, *.EXE; and DirectX drivers.
When you click the Save Config Info button DXInfo will display the Save As Common Dialog box. When you click Save, it opens the file in Notepad.
