Renaming Files

To change the name of a file, follow these steps:

  1. Use Windows Explorer or My Computer to locate the file you want to rename.
  2. Click the file to select it.
  3. Click the File menu
  4. Click Rename.
  5. Type the new filename
  6. Press Enter

NOTICE: Do not change the filename extension (last three characters after the period). Doing so may render the file unusable.

You can also Right_Click on the file and choose Rename to rename the file.
